Pffff Beating Partisan is no big deal, sure werent they beaten a while back by some unknown part time pub team, about 2011 or so!

#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).
Was having a look at who the other champions around Europe might be and it looks like out of the 8 other teams in Europe with the exact same co-efficient (7.0) as Rovers, 4 of them look likely be champions (Maccai Haifa, Linfield, Zrinjski Mostar and Zurich). If this happens I imagine that it would end up that some of these teams would be seeded and that some wouldn't. Does anyone know what the tie breaker criteria is in this case?
Tie breakers is teams who play in green and white hoops first
Depending on final euro placings, could be a chance that Rovers will be seeded in CL qualifiers in July, this is hugely important to get on the seeded side of the draw.
If Dundalk qualify for 2023 or 2024, the points gained from previous coefficient should be enough to still be seeded in earlier rounds, but it will evaporate in 2025.

Looks like Rovers seeding is going come come down to the title race in Slovenia. 4 games left there with the top 2 playing each other this weekend. Rovers will be hoping the Koper can win away to Maribor to take control there.
Also it looks like that if Russian clubs continue to be expelled from European competition that Pat's would enter the ECL in the second round.
Yes, added it all up and came to that conclusion too - 30th April is marked this weekend for Maribor v Koper.
I wasn't sure how the multiple 7.0 teams in CL 1st round would be sorted out though; had been hoping Cliftonville would pip Linfield in the Irish league but if its true going by most recent reasons co-eff as tie breaker, we should be okay! (Rovers 2.5 to Linfields 2.0 in 2021)
Confirmed today that Russian clubs won’t be let compete in UEFA competitions so Pats will start in the second qualifying round of the conference league as a result

So it looks like the Russian exclusion has meant that Rovers are now confirmed as seeded in the CL. Chance that Linfield could also be seeded also if Koper win their final game of the season.
Also means Swiss champions go straight into the next round, they would have been one of the strong unseeded clubs in the otherside of the draw of Rovers. Polish, Kazak and Belarussian champions will still be there as possibilities. Should be (slight) favourites against any of the other 12 unseeded teams. The level Talinn were at last year goes to show how few easy games there are in this competition anymore.
