I think Osam was a lot better even if he too blind to see O'Donovan clotheslined. He may be a bit nervous but he had more to say than usual cliches.

I think need to have goal of the month or profiled player weeklt. Something to break the show up a bit...

Now this isn't a generalisation of Cork natives but Alan Kelly is a panzy. McDonagh brushed against him and he's sent off?!!

And when will he sort out that hair?

Why did they talk over perfectly serviceable Setanta commentary with the boring, droning talkover of their own presenters for the Rovers-Derry game?

Never been so angry at a "challenge" in my life. He should be charged with assault.

Osam knows what he is talking about though and is very articulate for an EL pundit.

I'd agree with all of that.

Was McDonagh sent off for brushing against Kelly??? Or what could he have said to get a straight red?

Did they demote Scully to the outside seat because of his constant agreeing, its as if he doesnt have any opinion just a nod of agreement.

Osam's quote of the week seemed to be "consistency". If he is going to be consistent in his use of consistency in that boring tone of voice il be asleep before the end of the show.

anyone whos ever read Ozo's old contributions to the Dublin Daily newspaper know theres definite potential there - the question is can the limited format of el weekly get that level of wit and insight out of him???

    Only time will tell

    UCD goal was a screamer.

Don't think they'll have a goal of the month competition beucase they'd have to show all the goals.

He must have told him to **** off, 'cos he didn't seem to make contact. If that was the case, fair dues to Kelly - absolutely correct. He had no hesitation (McDonagh didn't complain either, interestingly) and I'd love to see that sort of refereeing more often in the future.

My views on eL weekly for what it's worth...
Firstly I believe they should bring it to a new time slot. 9 at night is currently occupied by repeats of Jack and Bobby so I believe that it in that slot the el viewers are happy and TV3 would be happy when they realise that they'll get more viewers at this time slot.

Secondly, they should cut out the sh*te analysis. The whole "there on a good run now but it's up to them to mantain it" and other obvious points they make are totally boring, but when they say ah jez back to them aul errors again it really ****es me off 'cos they only base it on 30-60 seconds of coverage they've just seen.

An hour long programme consisting of (ALL) the games with longer coverage with a wee thing at the end where fans could make views by texting in or phone-ins would be great IMO but with this being the el unlikely unfortunately

What really wrecks my head is when they show the players warming up and the reporter sh1tes on and on.When they show this it lasts longer than the fcuking match ffs.

IMO tv3 will never move the time slot as they know the programme has "clut" fillowing who will still watch at 12 midnight. In that way they can get better tv audience in the latenight slot.

Anybody have a clue what the viewing figures are? I've heard figures banded about of 70,000- 100,000, sounds very high but is great if it is true.

if they were to move it to this time slot they would have serious competition with sky's monday night football when the english league starts.
