Aye fair play mate getting a bit carried away.
Ok Guildford Flames are the Ice Hockey teams of (surpisingly) Guildford!
One of the biggest clubs in the country-we get average 2000 a match.
As any form of professional football is practically non-existant round here (nearest conference teams are Woking, Aldershot and Farnborough) as is any big rugby Guildford is inevitably an ice hockey town.
We played in the Britsh National league (BNL) until the end of last season when it collapsed because of the defection of some clubs to the Elite League (EL) and tha bankrupcy of the Bracknell bee's-left only 4 teams in the league so it closed. We applied to the EL but because of political reasons i.e. corporate sponsorship etc. we were rejected.
This left only the English Premier LEague (EPL). We applied to them knowibng that if we were rejected that was it-no more flames. The big day came on Saturday when the EPL held a meetign and whether to accept Us, Hull and the (newly formed) Bracknell.
The accepted us and that party began.....
