Simply repeating the same thing over and over again does not make it true.
Your keeper had been time wasting since the start of the game.
When that free was to be taken, he did a great impression of a snail on mogadon, strolling up to where the kick was to be taken. Kelly had enough of it and booked him for TIME WASTING.
Can you not simply get over it and move on?
You must not be Alan Kelly because that was the reason we were told why he was booked by the 4th official but then again he was from cork and was probably lying. Ask Piebald head when you see him again or will he be "rested" too? I doubt it somehow !!!!!!!!!!!

UEFA respect him, we should respect him and be glad to have such quality officials in our game. This also goes for Buttimer and Stokes.

alan kelly is a useless poncey anders frisk wannabe. i cannot fathom how uefa regard him as nothing more than a clown. he is useless. oh wait..are you being sarcastic??

If it was Cork who were knocked out so early in the F.A.I. cup, and they were knocked out by a collection of refereeing mistakes, would you be so quick to forget?
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

Are we still talking about the Setanta Cup? No. And thats exactly what happened us in that competition. Galway fans are understandably annoyed, and are perfectly entitled to vent their frustrations, just as we did when it happened to us. Give it a few days til the next game and that will be the end of it, I'm sure

Yes we would be annoyed, but wouldn't be on the Galway forum bleating endlessly about it.
We have already been knocked out of a tournament this season because of bizarre refereeing decisions, we were annoyed and then we got on with it. There is nothing else you can do. Complaining about the ref to the FAI/el/Setanta afterwards is pointless and petty, if it's because of where the ref comes from.
If Galway had moaned about McKeon, they would have a much better case.

Yes because Galway, being so much a better side than Cork City FC, will easily brush aside Dublin City with a 4-0 maulling!

as a fan of neither team but having seen both teams play league matches already this season i can say cork played under their normal standards while galway played above theirs. cup games go like this.

i was right next to where the peno incident happened. gough dived out to get the ball and went through georgie "believeing my own hype" o'callaghan. so it was a peno.

on a side note i have to laugh everytime the shed burst into "superkeeper" for devine, even after he makes errors.

    It's called supporting your team.
He's is, without doubt, one of the best keepers in the league!

so what, we should start abusing him and telling him he's ****- that would do wonders for his confidence Anyway, what errors are these? We haven't conceded a goal in ages and I can't remember the last time Mick made any error of note

well at least the topic everyone is fighting over has changed!!! bloody hell what a thread. some people obviously need to get out in the fresh air more. you know, go out to a football match or something and get away from these unhealthy computer screens and web forums sure they'll be the ruination of us all
in fairness to Galway if they could play like that every weekend in the league they will be in the top flight next season. As for the two penalty incidents I wasn't in Galway, didn't see it, can't comment except to say sh1t happens get over it. The pen in Cork, I was on the Shed and yeah it was a pen, again Sh1t happens get over it. F*** it I was beginning to think I was a Jonah or something, go and see City in the Cup and they lose every time maybe this will be our season in the Cup? what odds City for the double how excellent would that be
oh and best of luck to Gaillimh ye have a fine young side I'd be delighted if ye won promotion

    Galway fans...

.... Ive been away for a few days so id just like to make a quick comment on the level of noise we made in the cross. For a team second from last in the 1st division and one who was given 2 days notice to arrange travel i thought we had a large and loud contingent. Also to the poster who said we only sand when the shed did so ,that is the biggest load of ##### .

Thanks to all the cork lads who were so sound to us down there and sympathising with us.
    See yee next year!
