I doubt I will be joining him in fairness. we wont have to blame anything because we will be safely into the quarter finals.

Lets get Uriah Rennie back over more regularly, and let him EDUCATE ye Some people really dont have a clue.

Refereeing is about, professionalism, and calling a game as it presents itself..not about doing anyone any favours.

As for professional refs....first of all you need a professional Football Association!
You really need to calm down fella. I'm not suggesting that Alan Kelly or most other refs are deliberately favouring their home town team, but the point is this: when the ref is from the same place as one of the teams, it gives rise to allegations of bias. Even if these allegations are unfounded or untrue, they still have a basis becuase of where the ref is from. The easiest thing would be to remove that problem by having referees from a neutral place.

Just the way it is, given how our population is dispersed.
Just because Alan Kelly is from Cork doesn't mean he's a City fan.
We've a population of around 448,000 in the county and consider 5,000 to be a good crowd at Turners Cross. That would suggest to me that the majority of Cork people aren't City fans.
It's very immature to accuse one of the top officials in the country of being biased. Galway fans are clutching at straws and need to realise that they didn't do enough to win either game.

It's good for the Cup that the two "BIG" teams are still in it.
Hopefully we'll be kept apart so that the two City's can meet for a showpiece final.

Can you expect officials, who aren't fully professional, to travel down to Cork on a Monday night?

I'd love for City to win the cup.

But if we were put out last Friday, so what?
Nothing we could do about it, just get on with the league.
We were put out of a much more rewarding competition than the FAI cup by poor refereeing, but what can we do about it?
    Nothing.

Galway fans should be more questioning of
    1. Why they are in the position they are in and
    2. How to get out of it,
if, as some are claiming, there is such little difference in class between Galway and City, and stop moaning about the last two games.
Why can your players perform as well as you think they did in the last 2 games, but were sh*te for the rest of your games?

Cork were not the better team on

Friday end of story. How many saves had our keeper to make compared to Devine. Galway were the better team and we knew we would be under the cosh on monday night and set up our team to deal with that. All we are/were asking for is a fair crack of the whip which we were denied by Incompetent and Arrogant Referees and Linesman. Kelly gave so many bad decisions on monday night it was laughable. The three worst being the free kick he gave for a back pass when everyone in the ground saW Neil Fenn played the ball last, Booking our Keeper for taking a free kick from the RIGHT position and then giving the penalty when O'Callagan fell over Gough.

We will move on but also thanks to "Pats Boy" we have 2 players suspended on friday night against the league leaders and knowing Pat Kelly I wouldnt be surprised if we had a Cork Referee on Friday maybe even "Chocolate" himself.

The keeper got booked for shameless time wasting, he was taking between 30 - 50 seconds to take every free and to be honest I was very surprised he wasn't booked earlier. In the 25 minutes of the 2nd half before we scored he must have wasted 10 minutes of that.

I thought FAI Cup suspensions were only relevant to the Cup?
i.e. They wont come into effect until your next Cup game.

No they have changed the rules yet again

so we have three players out on friday Two because of that ponce on monday.

The keeper wasnt booked for time wasting he was booked for taking the kick from the wrong position although he had taken it from where the lino was pointing.

As for Friday the ref was "rested" after friday nights game I wonder why and he the Linesman was laid out id say.

It took him long enough to find this position you speak of even though as you say the linesman was pointing it out for him. I'd say it was time wasting myself. Unless Alan told you otherwise.

Your keeper was CLEARLY booked for time-wasting, trying to claim anything else is just silly.
As for the penalty, I thought it was harsh, but having looked at it a few times from the video on the site, I think maybe Kelly got it right. Your keeper clearly interfered with George, go look at it yourself.

You go and ask Alan because I doubt if id bother to talk to him if I see him again and I do know both him and all his family very well but that doesnt change my mind about his attidude as a referee.

For god's sake this is getting ridiculous.
Simply repeating the same thing over and over again does not make it true.
Your keeper had been time wasting since the start of the game.
When that free was to be taken, he did a great impression of a snail on mogadon, strolling up to where the kick was to be taken. Kelly had enough of it and booked him for TIME WASTING.
Can you not simply get over it and move on?
