Hope this isn't repeating stuff that is already being covered on another thread, but there is some serious stuff going on at Swindon Town just now eg:
Relegation to the 4th tier confirmed on Saturday;
Owner Lee Power embroiled in all sorts of legal conflict with his former Boardroom allies over his proposed sale of Swindon;
The club being effectively insolvent, which could attract severe penalties from the FA/EFL etc.

Goodness knows what any implications might be for Waterford, but they surely cannot be positive.
Its a shame really,theres massive potential in Waterford if things were ran right, but can anyone see it ending in anything but tears with Lee Power?
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.
I find this whole saga at Swindon fascinating if concerning - it outdoes any old messing in LoI over the years. Not sure which thread that I outlined the manipulating by Power and that it is really a worry for Waterford fans, the longer it goes on the worse it gets too. You have to feel for Swindon fans, and hope that Waterford do not become the LoI proxy! Its also some insight why he was so peeved not to get his hands on some European prizemoney.
*June 2022 seems an awful long time to wait for a hearing to decide who actually legally owns Swindon - is there really that sort of backlog or couldnt the FA provide mediation that the respective parties agree to uphold its decision. Surely has to be in Power's interest to get things sorted, if the decision goes with him he sells and gets away with covering losses, if it doesent he stills sells a smaller share but that will be negated or will cost him as the person responsible for running costs (prior to administration). Either way it is of varying benefit for him to play ball sooner than later?

I cant keep up with this story any more but I know John Sheridan has quit as manager of Swindon is it?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Yup, Swindon Town who Lee Power has (partial) ownership which could impact his finances and by extension Waterford. Sheridan resigned during a post match interview almost 2 weeks ago now.
Are Waterford supporters organised? Would they be in a position to takeover if it came to it?
Maybe John Delaney want a way back in to Irish football....
Don't even go there!
Waterford have announced Sheedy and Newell have left.
Needed to happen. The inclusion of Brian Murphy on the training pitch and in the dressing room will be a far bigger difference then those two staying on. Wouldn’t anticipate Brian going straight back into the starting team but to have his experience around the group again will be a big boost.
Closes one quick goalkeeper fix for Dundalk in the summer.
I presume Waterford will appoint a proper LOI manager now!
I followed Limerick for long enough to know that when the chairman is a rotten piece of waste the manager is ultimately wasting his time. I wouldn't be commisioning a statue of Sheedy and Newell but I can understand why they wanted to get out of the cesspit too.
