I gave the team that an irish friend told me only to Horgan replacing odowda.

    Oshea as a full back

What is going on with Horgans persistent selection? Good to see Molumby in there. Hopefully Idah will score...

Horgan played ok against England in fairness. Actually made a couple of incisive forward passes, which is what the cut for "ok" was in that game. I'm ok with it for the moment. I agree on his limitations alright - even at Dundalk he struck me as a Damien Duff lookalike without the end product.

Horgan was one only decent players last Wednesday, did enough to keep his place anyway.

I like all the changes he made.

While he was “ok”, he failed at PNE, did nothing at Hibs, and now is playing Wycombe Wanderers in league 1 at the age of 28. His hand has been declared. Need to be focusing on other players to develop.

Actually they’re in relegation zone in championship! My bad! But still don’t understand his selection.

An alternative formation with the players selected.

    Randolph
    O,Shea Duffy Long
    Doherty Molumby Hendrick McClean
    Horgan Idah Brady

    Or switch McClean with Brady.

Don't disagree Tommy but I don't see many players pushing for that right wing spot at moment especially with players out

Id take Doherty right wing, O’Shea right back, Manning left back (although he hasn’t played much). But suppose it highlights the poor squad we have presently and how stretched we far with injuries/covid

Yeah I wouldn't argue with you too hard about those choices, although I'm not convinced about Manning and I don't think Doherty is suited to playing that far forward in a front 3

Daryl Horgan the first name on the team-sheet now.

Cullen fails to make the matchday squad which is shame.

Conversely, it's a strong-looking Wales side. I fear another very difficult evening lies in store...

if it's a 4-3-3, Molumby and Hendrick are going to be run into the ground in the midfield

At least Hourihane has been given the boot. That’s a good start.

and o'dowda. interesting how Horgan didn't get in the squad before and now is starting.

he's sticking with idah too. I know options are limited of course.

Really odd selection. A decade on the repeated selection of Daryl Horgan is giving me flashbacks to Stan's dedication to Alan O'Brien!

I fear we're going to be hockeyed tonight.

Hes right to stick with Idah, at least he will develop. No point in putting in someone like Collins who is just a journeyman and will never have a chance of being a top player

I don't think it's that odd. O'Dowda, Hourihane and Christie I don't think can complain about being dropped. Browne and Egan of course are unavailable. Other than that, it's quite reasonable given that, again, we have no decent players.

While I'm not a huge Horgan fan, he's way better than Alan O'Brien.

As opposed to O'Dowda, who has been repeatedly criticised here, or Curtis? Kenny is dealing from a pretty ****ty deck and Stan just wasn't.
