Would be good if he could get promoted or get a transfer to the German second tier to see how he gets on there. Even then, the second tier in Germany is probably closer to the third tier in England in terms of standard, but it would at least see him playing at a level where he could begin to come into the discussion in an area where we are limited in terms of quality.
It seems like, looking at his stats, he's dipped down to a level lower than he should be playing at. Didn't exactly set the world alight in the Austrian Bundesliga, so i'd guess his level is probably just below that. He won't be playing 3rd tier in Germany next year, just depends who takes a punt on him, and how high a level they are. But in saying that, he's definitely at a make or break age of will he ever be good enough for our senior squad. Like every other player, i'll keep a hopeful eye out
