In which case it sounds like Brighton have been the loser in the negotiation. If he's a success playing for a big club in a top European league, they sell him at the end of the season for less than what his value will be at that point. If he's a failure he ends up back with them with his transfer value further reduced.

yes seems to a lot riding on the two greek teenagers they signed, unless they buy someone esle. Welbeck will need to stay fit. Would enjoy watching Brighton in a relegation battle.
