It wasn't being argued that ye were. Yet. The point was that had it not been for a very fortunate European run, ye could have found yourselves there next season.

I don't think that's an unreasonable suggestion, or that there's a lot of ifs and buts about it.

Bohs are bohs, a tough nut to crack and very much deserving of 2nd best team in Ireland. Its just so sweet that Rovers are Ireland's number 1.
I've said it before, same games for every team this year with 18 so this Covid league title is nonsense that was said elsewhere, besides we were only 3 behind at the end of July, so no excuses from us.

On the euro comment, absolutely fortunate draws getting a team from Andorra and Faroes, but still 3 consecutive away trips, Budapest, Andorra and Moldova, yes a home game (in Dublin) v Faroes, but still had to navigate wins in 2 of those trips.

Last night was sluggish by Dundalk, but a big improvement from the last Bohs game, and we will probably finish 3rd, which wasn't looking likely in August.

#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).

Damn right!! Well we could of course Stu and it would be foolish not to considering a worst case scenario but it didnt happen and a jammy euro run may not have changed too much either. It is some solace for Dundalk fans as it may have mitigated against the possibility of peak leaving. But there is as much to suggest that they are not ready to cash in their chips yet. Maybe their plan is to grow Dundalk FC sufficiently that there is a return on a sale rather than the usual token €1 and clear debts. Still ifs, buts and maybes until it happens, if i happens.

Should have won that. Of what I saw that was our best performance in ages. Maybe all season. If we play like that again there's some hope we could beat Sligo or Derry and squeak a playoff spot but obviously that depends on Harps and what they do

Thankfully like 8 other teams this season, Cork couldn't buy a goal for love nor money there. No idea how there wasn't a goal in the last ten minutes there to either side

Terrible stream. It went off a few times and broke up a lot when it was on. Plenty chances near the end for both teams. Cork played well in 2nd half and would feel they were unlucky not to win it as had more pressure and corners. Waterford didn't play well and are dropping too many points against teams in bottom 3. We will be lucky to finish 4th on current form.

How did someone not score there???
Does no one other the Rovers and Bohs want to qualify for Europe this year?

Cork gone and Dundalk should finish 3rd. Still think 4th will get Europe like almost every other season.

Risky for any team looking to get europe by 4th, but top 3 usually do win the cup, think only once in last 10 years it hasnt happened.

Derry, deprived Rovers of the 4th place bonus prize one season, forget the year.

I mentioned it a few times before, but it has been big missed opportunities by likes of Waterford (especially) Sligo, Pats and maybe Derry to challenge for that 3rd spot, Dundalk did nothing in August, and only modest results in Sept and Oct, still favs to finish 3rd.

On Cork tonight, thats all but guaranteed a play off spot as highest finish, whoever from them or FH make it, I would still fancy them to come through though and win the play off, far too many pre play off games for the FD sides before the final one.

The finishing in the last 10 minutes of that Cork/Waterford game is the worst you'll ever see, zero composure ,Cork in particular could have scored about 4 in that period, games are running out for Cork now and it's up to us now to scrape enough points to at least get a play off.......
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.

Waterford had an Irish international who missed 2 gilt edge chances as well

I wasn’t expecting an answer to this question, but I’m even more clueless now.

This decision potentially puts us down.

In fairness, I can't see anything off that. It's too blurry, especially at the time the corner is taken and the camera pans.

Is one of the Waterford players calling for handball?

This decision potential puts us down.

The Cork player moves over to block the keeper as he is coming out. Only thing I can see.
