Kingdom, I agree with your preference for O'Shea and Cullen and I do like the idea of Curtis starting. I think, however, that (as someone has mentioned recently) that we need one of Hourihane and Brady on the pitch. I know we aren't reliant on dead balls (or are we?) But we could use someone on the park that can deliver quality cross and corners, as well as a good free. We don't score enough from open play (and haven't done so under Kenny) to justify not having one of the pair on the field. That would be my view and it is open to plenty of challenge.

I think whether we agree on this point or not, Kenny has already decided we need one of them. I don't think we need both and if one has to be dropped I'd go for Hourihane who hasn't been great under Kenny.

I'd personally like to see Brady in the 10 role rather than Hendrick with a bit of pace in the RF role, Long or Maguire maybe or Curtis though I haven't seen much of the latter. I thought Maguire looked busy when he came on but might be better out wide.

I'm pretty sure molumby was one of the set-piece takers (corners, wide-frees) with the 21s.

With Horgan v Curtis, I think we know what Horgan brings, and we know he's great coming off the bench.

You're right about goals from open-play - dammit, even our shots from outside the box are dreadfully low.

I guess he is going with pace though I would have thought Idah offered that plus a bit of physicality. He might not be 100% fit.

I'm sure we'll see Idah at some point along with brady.

I really like this i have to say, the front 3 are a bit old school, small irish footballing stature, a bit more direct and not backwards in going forwards, willing to try and beat a man in horgan and connolly, hopefully supplying good ball into a natural finisher, granted we havent seen an awful lot of maguire at International level.

It's bold and throws a lot of things up from Kenny, I like this mentality.

I believe Mick Mccarthy is on commentary again. Hes really let himself down doing that. He came across as bitter in previous game and showed he is also a complete dinosaur with his football thinking. I can't imagine he needs the money so poor decision to agree to do it
