First penalty to Derry was very soft last night. Our ex player Figueira went down handy after a bit of contact. 2nd one is fair enough as was a late tackle even though contact on Figueira was when shot was way off target.
We didn't attack enough and Derry were better team in 2nd half.
That's generous CD. It could've been more than 4-0...... Sligo had a few moves when Rovers were pushing the boat out too far or trying training ground stuff in their own half but I'm not sure Mannus had a save to make over 92 mins? I'll have to watch it again to be sure but it was comfortable viewing throughout when I watched it live.

To be fair to Sligo they kept going to the end.
Never laid down.
I didn't realise that Burke was out next week as well due to suspension, so that would be Byrne, Burke, Lopes , scales and farrugia all out, half of tonight's starting outfield 10.
Did Byrne seriously get a yellow for stepping off the pitch without the ref's approval? First time I've ever heard of that rule. Anyone see it happen before in LoI?
I think it is a rule alright. You could be looking to impinge on the offside rule (although I think you can still be considered part of play even when off the pitch, as Italy found out in a finals match a few years back) or gain some other advantage like Dion Dublin's goal off Shay Given in the 90s -
That was ok because Dublin initially left the pitch under his own momentum, but you can see the ref at the end checking with his linesman to be sure he can give the goal.
Jamie Doyle got booked for us against Dudelange for coming back onto the pitch without permission (he had gone down with cramp and landed outside the touchline, but then scooted himself back on for treatment, and to waste time). Not quite the same thing, but similar.
If you're going to have a dig at a mountain then at least spell it right!
Pinapple Stu, sneeky goal by Dublin alright. I was aware if a player left the pitch they cannot come back on without the ref's approval, but I did not know stepping off was an offense as it happens all the time. If a player falls down in a heap and goes over the boundaries and is hurt, just like Byrne was hurt, once they are not interferring with play why is it a yellow? Makes no sense to me.
Aon, dó, trí, bhí mé i mo luí, thit mé den leaba, he! he! he!
So I didn't see what exactly happened with Byrne, so I can't answer your question for sure. Stepping off the pitch doesn't happen all the time though (well, except for things like taking a set-piece, but I guess then the ball isn't in play so it doesn't count)
If a player goes down injured just off the pitch and isn't interfering with play, that's not a booking; play just continues. It would only be a booking if the player then re-entered the field without the referee's permission.
Byrne pulled up injured near the touchline and walked t o the physio who gave him an ice bag and told him to sit down.
He was pictured in the stand with the ice bag on his groin.
The fourth official came over to the rovers bench and told them he had to go back on. He took his jacket off went back on when the subs were being made and was booked then walked back off
O don't get it to be honest, if he had been lying on his back getting treatment and rovers went to sub him there wouldn't have been an issue, it happens all the time, I can only imagine the ref thought he wasn't injured and just decided to walk off but that seems a bit bizarre......GLITW ref
Corks defending is shambolic.
My god someone tell the cork lads the match kicked off at 5 o’clock not quarter to 8
genuinely could be 5 nil already,Kelly missed a sitter there.
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.
Cork have been absolutely shocking here, we're actually letting them off the hook at this stage with the chances we're missing.
Being a Pats fan for 90 minutes and I get it I really do!
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.
Don't know how Pats only won 2-1. Could have been 7.
People laughed at us for hiring Filippo, but the Cork board actually gave Fenn a job because he wears a suit.
What's his win record since taking over? Must be shocking.
Cork must be certs for automatic relegation spot, where have all the Corkies gone? there used to be a few of them about.
