    Shielo hospitalised

See from your website that Shielo was taken to hospital during Monday's game. Hope he is ok. Any update?

It was a nasty one, an airborne clash of heads which left Shielo unconscious on the deck with blood gushing from his head. After he'd left the field (happily, he was able to walk off unaided) the game was halted for fully five minutes while Dublin City staff mopped up the pool of blood which had formed on the pitch. Shielo was then taken to hospital in an ambulance and, once he reached casualty, informed that he was ninth in the queue for attention.

Don't think it was quite as severe as it appeared at first glance, just an ugly gash which required a few stitches. Not heard anything since, but he should be fine.

I hope the chap is ok. Think it's fair to say it's the nastiest injury in my time watching LOI. The amount of blood literally pouring from his head was quite a sight.

Certainly hope he's ok. That's Shielo to a tee, never shirks a challenge.

Always gives 100%, never hides and has lungs like bin bags.
    Great player, great guy.
