    Womens' Football

Anyone watching the Womens' Euro Finals in UK??

Most games live on Eurosport and BBC showing live English games plus highlights later in evening of all games.

Very entertaining with loads of quality football.

I should have known that - check out Eurosport or BBC - some great stuff and some of those girls are not afraid to put the boot in, I'll tell you. If the Israeli keeper was acting the maggot against, say, the German girls, he's have more than a cut nose!!!

Watched the French game yesterday and the French girls looked tasty (in a footballing sence! ). They look like they will challenge with the Germans, English & Sweden for the tournament based on what little I know about Women's Football. Looking forward to watching Ms. Ljungberg play for Sweden however, no relation I believe but seemingly her shirt sales are huge thanks to young girls wanting Freddie on their shirts!!

Quality has been excellent so far and should go far to dispell a few myths about the game. Pity the Irish lassies aren't there as we some good players. Emma Byrne and Ciara Grant are two that are quite useful and just so happen to play for the Gooner Ladies!!! (so you can see I ain't being biased! )

2-1 to the Danes. Couldn't watch it all as Ireland game was overlapping but felt England deserved to draw.

I remember a sketch on TV a few years ago where these two guys endured this terrible women's international 0-0 draw just to catch the full time jersey swap

This won't appeal to the PC crowd but the worse thing about managing a womens' team is that you have to wait an eternity outside the dressing rooms while they tog out. They know damn well that one can't walk in to hurry them up so all you can do is roar outside at the walls. It used to drive me fcuking mad with annoyance. I mean how much hairspay does a head need and does it have to take an hour to get ready for a game???

And both of them used to PLay for Pats ladies team!

However in my experience, the worst means footballer is better than the best ladies footballer. Competetive it may be but quality wise its ****e and the even the most pC football fan has to agree

The best local ladies team I've seen were the Eureka College (Kells) schools team in the early 1990s. They had everthing, pace, skill, tactical awareness and were also physically strong. Maybe womens footie is not up to mens - can still be enjoyable to watch.

I've seen some womens teams that would outplay quite a few mens teams and physically would be well able to kick the $h!te out of them as well. My niece looks like a model and even when I was able to play, one day she left me with a seven inch gash down the side of my right leg and that was onlya kickabout in the back lawn!!!
Dirty little so-and-so used to do the same in womens games as well. She made Dermot Keely look like Kenneth Williams.
