13 places have been made available to Irish clubs on the programme, with the FAI inviting submissions from SSE*Airtricity League and Women’s National League clubs to participate in the global programme.
To ensure the success of the programme, FIFA have asked participating National Associations for a wide variety of clubs and programmes to be included in the analysis.
The FAI have selected the following to take part in the FIFA Talent Development Ecosystem Analysis Programme following an exhaustive application process:

  • Bohemian FC (Boys)
  • Bohemian FC (Girls)
  • Bray Wanderers
  • Cabinteely FC
  • Donegal League (Girls)
  • FAI Girls Emerging Talent Programme*
  • Finn Harps
  • Galway United
  • Peamount United (Girls)
  • St. Patrick’s Athletic
  • Shamrock Rovers
  • Shelbourne FC
  • Shelbourne WFC

The Irish involvement in the Programme will be used as part of a Global Benchmarking Report by FIFA, in to the Player Development Process among boys and girls around the world.
FAI High Performance Director Ruud Dokter says the FAI’s involvement in the process will be beneficial for Irish football*in the years to come.
“The FIFA Ecosystem Analysis Project is a great opportunity for the clubs and academies in Ireland to develop and improve their academy structures, to bridge the gap with the top nations in the world,"*Dokter told FAI.ie
