    team for wed

assuming carr and keane to come straight back in, no robbie or finnan, what do we go for??

    given

    carr
    harte
    cunningham
    o'shea

    duff
    roy
    kilbane
    reid

    morrisson
    elliot

unfortunatly i'd like to drop o'shea, but with no o'brien and dunne and breen out, i'd put him in along side cunningham, but i would be worried about that back four, even against a team like the faroes.

could be another long night on wednesday

    Given
    Carr, Cunningham, ..., Harte
    Reid, Kilbane, Keano, Duff
    Morrison, Elliott/Doherty

At that ..., I would see Breen, but I don't know how is it his phys problem
So with no other chance, it'll be O'S again

A thing is for sure: I want Ian Harte back in the squad, not always in the XI, but I want him always in the 22-men squad for every match in the future.. He showed great desire and passion on sat, and he deserve a place in my opinion. (on wed in the firstXI)
I'm 21, I'm italian, but I love Ireland, and I always support the irish national team!

This team should pick its self. The squad is 21 and most of those are along for the trip. This is the best we have available, anymore injuries and its gonna be a rough ride to victory

    Given

    Carr Cunningham O'Shea Harte

    Reid Keane Kilbane Duff

    Morisson Doherty

    Subs: Holland, Kavanagh, Elliott,

Reckon Kerr will give these three a run out at some stage.
Big DOC up fron will cause em problems, he's no Robinho, put I can see him nick one.

I'd drop O'Shea altogether & play Holland at CB.

I'd "risk" Elliott upfront. Is Connolly in the squad at all?

Paddy McCarthy has more experience at centre half and more confidence than O'Shea. No chance of him been called up?

I'd choose the same starting line up here, but then again I don't think it matters who we pick, this is the Faroe Islands we are playing .......

Give Elliot a bash and let him score his first few competitive goals, if he can hammer them in against first division opposition, he'll have a field day against these lads...

Don't be so arrogant. They have the potential to hold us to a draw.

Its a big step up from the first division.....even against Pat the Baker, Postman Pat and his faroe mates. I really hope elliott proves me wrong, but I can't see him producing the goodies for us.
We need a hatfull to close the gap on the Swiss with goal difference, but I can't honestly see it happen. Reckon a 2-0 score is the best we should hope for.

For the love of god, please tell me you having a laugh, all of our players play top flight football, these boys can play football, but not on the same level as any of our lads, they are an inferior team, they lose all their games home and away, unless they play the Galapos Islands or someone like that, i have every right to be arrogant, i said three nil minimum, i ain't backing down.

    Arrogance breeds success.

If we had been more arrogant on saturday, we would have won.Simple.

There are no easy games anymore but at the end of the day we should be looking to put at least 3 goals past them to get the goal difference up.

FFS Mr Kerr, redeem yourself and let the team attack for 90 minutes...

the players who we are playing against are in general not good enough for the championship and most would prob struggle to get into a shels side ..elliott is well capable to play and score against this lot just thought israel might have been to big a step ..
