    Subbed after 68 minutes.

Great to see Josh Daniels come in for Shrewsbury in the other EFL cup game tonight.

Well that didn't take long... four days after his senior competitive debut, Cassidy scores his first and second senior competitive goals, and adds an assist for good measure (admittedly it was against Leeds U21s). So yet another breakthrough moment for our young strikers.

First league game yesterday in a home win V Peterborough, didn't score and was replaced by a midfielder late on. Straight in the side there though which is good to see.

Scored his first league goal today, a penalty in a heavy defeat.

It seems his team had a meltdown after he scored the equaliser - one minute later, one teammate scored an own goal, two minutes after that another teammate got sent off and they conceded two more ten and twelve minutes later

Second league goal today and this one mattered, scoring an injury time equaliser against Shrewsbury, albeit it was a follow-up to his own saved penalty: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/55067522

Still at Accrington but can't get in the team. Seems to have struggled badly with the step up to senior football unfortunately. Still young so time for him to come good but definitely not encouraging that he has failed to get much game time at that level.

Accrington are doing well this season; 2 points off of a playoff spot with 3 games in hand over 6th-placed Charlton. It's a difficult one for young Ryan. The north will be pleased with how Cassidy's rival for the striking role, Dion Charles, is playing.

would have been better off chancing his arm with a couple of LOI clubs over the off season, southern league is a poor level

He was at Bohs last year and didn't seem to make any impact; maybe that had a part in it?

I'd say there wasn't much LoI interest to be honest. Seemed to come with a lot of hype when he was a youth player at Watford, but other than a couple of early goals for Accrington he has been miles off the pace in senior football. Some players can make the step up, others like Cassidy and Glen McAuley don't have it, it's just the way of it.

maybe yeah, but bohs were a bit of a mess. im a bit surprised is all, that a shels or city didnt take a punt on him. mcauley is a different case imo. he only did it at u18 level , cassidy was regularly a top performer with the 23s, that should serve as some guide to him having a bit more than mcauley. maybe the injury has caused him to lose pace or something. watching glen mcauley youd wonder how he ever got to england, lad was as slow as wet week.

Cassidy looked awful at Bohs. Absolutely miles off the pace.
