An awful game and advert for the league, although given the kick off time I'm not sure how many would have been watching anyway.

Forgot about the game myself and had missed the goal.

Can't see Rovers throwing it away now. We might catch Bohs for 2nd yet.

How come Wexford GK play in goals 4 ye Stu?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

It reckon this behind closed doors experiment has shown how important the fans are to the league. When there is no atmosphere a lot of games seen to have very little tempo, I think the vast majority of the games I've seen have been tripe to watch.

Cos he was with UCD last year, is the obvious answer!

I think all over Europe there could be a greater appreciation for fans and not just TV revenue. The whole package makes football. It must be difficult for players to switch in to competative mode when it feels like a training match. A lot of the games and especially Dundalk have lacked any intensity - some people thing moaning at players during games is discouraging, now it seems more like players need both support and a rocket from supporters too.

    Justice.
Another 3 points closer to the title.
Some seriously short memories when it comes to decisions in the derbies it seems! Think there are a few more ropey decisions to go Rovers' way before it's evened up properly!

That match felt like a Pre-Season friendly not a Dublin Derby. Two awful sides. One capitalised on a terrible piece of defending to score. Not sure what else to say.

Very well thought of at Rovers. He's played well in the starts he's had thus far. Had a rocky first half today, but aside from the obvious penalty shout I thought he did very well in the second half.

The weight of evidence is in his favour, often proved the tipping point in games that were finely balanced.

Sligo can go 3rd with a win against harps today, without the hard to explain loss to cork they could be only 3 points off second.
Complete transformation since the break. Great to see bucko doing well as he always plays a nice brand of football.

I'm open to correction on this but I believe Rovers are unbeaten in the league in over a year.
Just too good for everyone else in this league.

No idea about other games but we beat them on 23 September last year, I'm sure you remember that game, so you pulled your stat out of nowhere.

It's a strange year obviously but Rovers will be the worst champions here in over 20 years. They're so poor for a team with some of the quality players they have.

I know. Its great isn't it!!

Meanwhile dundalk have taken the most advantageous financial situation in LOI history and managed to completely obliterate itself whilst simultaneously prostituting itself to some gruuby yank who desires a small plaything.
You better dig out the buckets and the bedsheets
Meanwhile Rovers and Bohs will flourish in your absence.

I'm not happy with our situation either, it's a mess, but we could yet end up in the EL groups this year so who knows.

Anyone predicting Rovers will dominate over the next few years is way wide of the mark. Maybe if they get rid of Bradley, it might help.

I wouldn't be so sure about Bohs flourishing either. They're a bad side too.

With 2020 as it has been so far I wouldnt be too quick to assume anything PC even in a wind up manner, tough I can understand the wringing of hands in anticipation after nearly a decade of pure frustration with mediocrity after an EL windfall. We are only a couple of players catching a virus away from the league being halted. Rovers would probably be awarded the title but not the way anyone would want to win a league unless desperate (and we are at this stage!). Prostituting out would imply complicity, as horrible an example as it is, the yanks have more raped the club and damn all could be done about it. Still, a double and being within touching distance of a clean sweep isnt nothing under Peak6, with cup and European games still to go and runners up in the league still up for grabs this year. It's funny how the same things were being said not long after SRFC reached EL groups and ended up selling out the precious fan owned model, LoI clubs dont learn much from eachother and LoI fans all have short and/or selective memory!

No-one isn't suggesting that dundalk haven't been successful. The question is, at what cost.
Rovers post MON struggled(relatively speaking) for a few years, but the clubs very existence wasn't in jeopardy. Can you honestly say the same about dundalk in its current guise?
Your owners modus operandi is solely based on European money and without wishing to sound dismissive you have 0% chance of getting into the EL stages this year. My guess is you'll struggle against inter, to be honest. What will your flaky owners do then, heh?
Rovers may or may not win the league this year, but the structure of the club is secure and they look like they will challenge again for trophies next year, which as a Rovers fan is all we ask for.
