No you didn't, although I do get a little worried when everything turns into a prayer-a-thon. We're not all as staunch as you, me boy, and whilst I applaud your devotion, it's occasionally a little misplaced. I'm sure God has His hands full with the idiocies of the human race, famines and wars without worrying about whether we make it to Germany next year or not. Keep the prayers for the things that really matter, eh?

See that's the great thing about God he looks ut for what matters to people no matter how big or small-I know there's way bigger things which I'm preying for of course but obviously this matters to a lot of people and I genuinely believe faith can help.
Sorry if I talked about prayer that much but most of my posts were simply about faith in our sqaud and belief we can make it to Germany......I did post a prayer yeah and I do mention my religion but that's because it affects every aspect of my life but when I'm saying "we believe" "we have faith" "we can make it to Germany"I'm talking about fatih and belief in our team!
Our believe God will help us yes but last night the majority of my posts were focussed on support and trust in the Ireland sqaud!

We drew with Israel.Thats a big blow. It's not looking bright.
Agree with you Soper, France are due to come good. The thought of Henry sprinting at the ageing Kenny Cunningham scares the sh!t out of me.

Mathematically we can still top the group but realistically we havent got a prayer. At best we can hope for is a playoff spot and I think we'd all take the at this stage.

Well Liam, "fair juice" to you if that didn't drive you to the demon drop. It has done to many a weaker man.

You're right. But it was Kerr's fault that we allowed freak luck or whatever to even be a factor. But I actually think we'll get there too. I'm actually less mad today than I was even a week after the draw in Israel.

This is great lads. Lets get all the irish fans to have a bad feeling about the Swiss and French matches. Just like Holland in 2001. people were like i dont know and we all know how ireland played. So the more bad feelings we get the more i believe we can still go to Germany.

And lets not forget.....Ireland should of scored 4 goals last night in the second half. We were like United in the FA cup final....unlucky.

So can Ireland still go to Germany????

Of course its in out hands.

The Swiss are no better than the Israeli's and we can quite easily beat them.

I just put it on another thread too, but we can win the group still on 18, 19 or 20 points. It's that tight. Switzerland vs Israel and Switzerland vs France are still tough to call, as are all our remaining games!

It may surprise you but we can lose one of Faroes & Cyprus, or draw both and mathematically win the group!

Thats it lads. Lets all throw in the towel now

Were in the same position now as FRANCE. Fair enough we have to get 3 points out in the faroes but its all to play for.

I think we're in a much better position than the French. They still have to travel to Dublin and Switzerland the 2 toughest teams at home.

That's right. Assuming that we take 6pts between FarOer and Cyprus (and we'll take them), if we beat France at home, that two matches (Switz-France and Switz-Isr) will decide the group before our last match at home against swiss

That's what I'm saying-just because we're not teo points ahead of France everyne has sacked Kerr and half the team and are hastily looking for a distant foreign relative so they don't have to renew their Irish passport! And when anyone tries to get the atmosphere up and keep the faith alive they are drunk, on drugs or just a nutter who p*sses everyone off.
This doesn't go for the whole forum of course but does for a few!

    Lads......we're going to Germany!

The only advantage that Switzerland have over us is that they are still favourites to take 3 points from Israel at home in my view. But they still have to come here, play France and go to Cyprus who they struggled against at home. France have to go away twice but they have both minnows at home (good for goal difference).

I think it's more likely than not that we'll finish in the top 2.

Who'd settle for second place now? I'm torn but I think we should still be looking to win the flipping thing.
