Don Givens has to go, seriously.

Although, good to see the goalscorers were Murphy and Doyle.

Just back from what was a cracking game of football in Flancare Park. Sloppy defending let Israel go two up early on, but the introduction of Kevin Doyle added a bit more bite to Ireland's attack and deservingly drew level. Finished the game strongly and should have taken all three points.

McGeady gave a masterclass on the wing. Had their left back - who was sent off late-on for two yellows - in his pocket the whole night. Potter controlled matters in central midfield, looking a class apart. McCarthy was solid at centre half and Kevin Foley was tidy and faultless at right back. Murphy was decent up front - he does like to score at Flancare. Doyle, as I said, was very good when introduced. Deceptively good in the air. Great to see Paiso get a run out in front of his home fans.

    Agree about Givens, BTW.

Yeah, Givens seems to have a team full of talent but can't get the results.

Givens is an absolute disgrace, He couldn't manage a football team to save his life AND he seems to enjoy pimping eircom League players to English clubs. Get him out NOW

I think the fact that it was a 6 o clock kick off had something to do with this. I work with a lad from longford and had planned to go and stay in his this evening after watching the game but couldnt make it so early because of work(obviously back to lansdowne for tomorrow). Would have gone had it been 7.30 or later.

I remember a shudder running through me when he took charge of the seniors against Greece and the newspaper article I read mentioned Givens "being jetted in from his home in Warwickshire"... ouch

Right, pardon the pun and the fact that I've had a big night so far (and yes, it's only going to get worse )...

"Givens the results he's had so far, it's time to go!"

Yes, I have been thinking that one up for weeks - ever since the last u-21 debacle - and yes, "Oi'll get me coat..."

The amount of talent he's had over the past few years, there's just no excuse for the results he gets at all.
