We accused Mick Mac of playing his favourites, but Kerr is taking that one to new territory, and we all saw the result last night.

He's not the only proven quality right back to be consistently ignored by Kerr

Stick to collecting the shirts my friend

100% wrong decisin IMHO. Elliott (or even Doc) for Robbie. Simple, simple, simple. I said so at the time.

Jorge Linehan: you've spoken some sh1te since coming on to this forum but I agree with you totally

I saw Geary playing many times for the Owls. Trust me - he's not even close to international class. Game and energetic but a very average player.

I remember Mick Mc being slated for not playing O'Shea because he played for the great Man U - how things have changed. But we would have forgiven all if he had scored with that point blank header.

So the players are eating all the right food, having the correct training, using the proper match balls, playing on the correct training surfaces and lo and behold even more amateurish than before and conceding the lead as usual. Of course Dunphy said if Roy had been playing it wouldn't have happened, conveniently forgetting he has been on many an Irish team that has conceded leads, not least in the last game against Israel

However, 3 pts against the Faroes will put us top of the group. It will all come down to the final game against the Swiss of that I'm sure and we owe those bast*ards one !!

Fair enough, OF. I only have Geary's two excellent performances earlier this season against Arsenal (Arsenal!) to go on. That and the fact that I don't particularly rate Maybury, for whom I think the Championship is about his natural level.

I suppose in part that what you're saying is that you can't polish a turd. But we know these players are not the proverbial - they're capable of much, much more. So if prior planning does not prevent p***-poor performance, like the old saying has it, then we need to find something to change. And, if we don't qualify, there's an obvious place to start.

The player who got MOTM v Deportivo, and has excelled himself against opponents like that, Lille, Hajduk Split, Rosenborg, Bronby etc etc and almost every single time he has taken to the pitch, Owen Heary. When he went to Lansdowne he marked a 15m rated Spanish international and the Lille, who finished second in the French league, right winger. He was superb in both matches, MOTM in one of them. Compare that to the performances of some of the other right backs Kerr has consistently picked during his time as Ireland manager.

If we had Owen Heary playing right back on saturday we would not have conceded the second goal, it is that simple. He has a player who, at the very least, would provide excellent cover (Which would have come in very, very handy last night) sitting right under his nose and he simply refuses to pick him.

Dont forget Slash/ED they dont pick EL players cause it aint a high competitive level, which i read into that as the league is a ****ing joke and the player a ****e.

Hopefully a few good europen seasons will change these *******s views
