It’s a bit out there as an appointment. It could be a masterstroke but it definitely has a risk factor attached.
I genuinely think there are probably people posting on here that, on the surface, would be better qualified for the job.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
This is just nonsense. At the very least you should be appointing someone who has some experience of coaching/managing a men’s team.
John Sheridan wasn't far wrong maybe!
Bill is picking the team this guy is head coach.
If Dundalk win their last 9 matches they could still win the league otherwise I would be worried if I was a Dundalk supporter about next years budget and all the players out of contract with no CL money to come.
I don't see how appointing a guy with no experience of running a mens team is going to motivate the players or convince them they have a future.
But mocking is catching , q the run of wins that makes Bill look like a genius
I still havent recovered from the last Dundalk manager that had a dodgy moustache....
The piece on RTE is like a Waterford Whispers article.
Which Giuseppe Rossi is assisting him?
Not that one.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
This is absolutely brilliant.
That's taken the wind out of John Sheridan's sails.
'Filippo who, mate? Never heard of him' just doesn't cut it as classic bantzTM when nobody else has either.
Apart from that I can see no problems with this appointment at all. Nope. Nosiree.
Hello, hello? What's going on? What's all this shouting, we'll have no trouble here!
- E Tattsyrup.
This can't be real
#NeverStopNotGivingUp
This might be the funniest thing to happen in the League in years.
We might be very thanful for the shortened season after all!
The Yanks are hardly out to deliberately sabotage themselves.
There must be some logic or connection with this guy that gives them the belief at a shot at a run in Europe or a sustained winning run to get back into the league.
If they had given up completely on Vinnie as appears to be the case maybe they reckon spin the dice it cant go worse anyway.
If it was a cut and run then why not just leave Giller and Reynolds in charge , cost them less then the new Italian Stalions.
Has he done anything else apart from run a summer camp ?
He was Director of Coaching at Metropolitan Oval Academy in New York. It's a youth club (up to U14s) per wikipedia.
His profile is on their site from when he was appointed in 2015. It mentions a few Italian clubs he's coached at, but they seem to be amateur clubs of the level which means they don't have an English-language wiki page.
Edit - actually, Sansovino are in the Eccellenza, the fifth tier. I think the other clubs must be below that level so.

Wasn't Burton already at Dundalk if so what regulations stopped him from taking the job ?
