Three First Division games tonight as well -

    Drogheda v Galway
    Longford v Cabinteely
    UCD v Athlone

Big game in whatever Longford's ground is called these days; if Cabo can win, they'd be six clear with 11 to go. The rest are already looking a bit inconsistent to really challenge.

Gave the midweek games their own thread Stu.....focus on first division although the pub team are up in Sligo tonight as well in the Premier

Chance for Rovers to put the presure on Bohs and Dundalk this weekend by hopefully getting 3 points against Shels , first time we play on a Friday since the restart.
Bohs will have to play well to beat Pats who have taken points of both Dundalk and Rovers and Dundalk will be off the back of Champions league match and against a decent Sligo team.
As with last weekend any results possible.

Our ground name is Bishopsgate after our new sponsors. But it will always be flansiro in my eyes.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Honestly think this is our biggest game for last few weeks. Shels are out biggest derby and will be up for it big time. No excuses need to win ..

Cabo are a well oiled outfit. Town started the game really well, made a cheap mistake at the back and Cabo pounced on it, same can be said for all 3 of their goals. Barnes & Waters up from together is a lethal partnership and they are so well organised in the midfield and at the back, won't be beaten easily this season and are genuine title contenders with Drogs. Play offs for us I'm afraid, we are either majorly under performing or the players we have aren't as good as we thought, I still think it's the former although a lack of depth is definitely an issue.

Waterford v Harps at 2pm on Sunday.

I can't wait to hear what Sheridan thinks of Ollie and Higgsy

Sheridan will be in flying form after losing a 2 goal lead in Dundalk to draw and a 1 goal lead in Sligo to lose.
He should have called time at about 80 minutes or last orders at the very least and unsettled Sligo.

Ah here, are we really going to descend into a load of cheap pub puns every time Sheridan's name is mentioned? I thought we set the bar a bit higher on this forum.

Maybe the barstoolers will finally take an interest in our league.

Sheridan says he is very much looking forward to this round, reckons his boys have goals on tap and that Harps will bottle it, they are only small beer anyway.

Playoff is the best Cork can hope for with McNulty in goals. That mistake for the equaliser killed them and Fleming wasn't great for the other 2. No disrespect to Cobh, but McNulty/Fleming and a few others are more at Cobh's level than Cork's.

Rovers were poor against Shels, Gaffney's injury will probably keep him out for a while too. Title still there for us.

A second successive frustrating performance from Rovers. The lack of a quality striker is telling. Rovers will need to get used to opposition playing this way, apart from probably dundalk and bohs where the games should be more open. They need to find an alternative when playing against massed defences, or they could miss out on their targets for the year
The lack of any crowd in tallaght tonight really showed, but that situation won't be changing anytime soon, so Rovers will need to adapt fast.

I know he comes with baggage, but surprised Rovers haven't made the rumoured move for Anthony Stokes on a deal until the end of the season.

Rovers aren't very convincing at the minute, really struggling to breakdown packed defences,Shels looked comfortable enough,Bohs/Pats is huge now.
Derry much better than Cork and it told eventually.
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.

Bohs and Twardeck doing well. Long seems to dig depths from players that are there but other managers do not find.

Bohs tactic of hitting Twardeck early & often, predictable but very effective. Pats have so little to them
