Ike Orazi F Stade de Reims b.2007

Good to see Orazi already making the Reims match day squad in Ligue 1 at 16. 21 players in the squad, nine subs on the day so one player will drop out and it might be him, but good to see him progressing that quickly all the same. Reims are challenging for the European places in France and are two points in front of Jake O'Brien's Lyon.

Named as a sub again today against Montpelier.
If he comes on, and Jake O'Brien plays later against PSG, that might be the first time two Irish players appeared in Ligue 1 on the same day
According to this Wikipedia page - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ers:_I#Ireland - Mick McCarthy, John Byrne, and Frank Stapleton were all at French clubs in the 1989/90 season, McCarthy was at Lyon, Byrne and Stapleton were both at Le Havre, but the club was playing in Ligue 2 that season

I think the French League is looking like a good landing spot for some of our developing players, especially those that can't go to the UK but don't want to stay in Ireland until they're 18. It's a good standard, but not as difficult to break into as the Premier League. It's also heavily scouted by the bigger European clubs.
