Hard luck!
Hard luck!
Here's a match report for ye lads: (from eleven-a-side.com)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paul McTiernan scored a wonder-goal as Sligo Rovers moved level with Dublin City at the top of the First Division table on Friday night.
McTiernan, Sligo’s top scorer in two of the past three seasons, controlled, turned and swivelled a volley past Alan Gough from the corner of the area midway through the first half.
The home side doubled their lead early in the second half when Galway defender Ronan Frawley headed the ball past his own keeper.
The visitors gave themselves a lifeline within 90 seconds when David O’Dowd capitalized from a Philip Gallagher mistake.
However, Rovers skipper Michael McNamara headed his fourth goal of the season and Sean Flannery added another as the Bit o’Red coasted to their derby win of the week – they defeated Finn Harps in the League Cup on Monday night.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
Just wondering on why ye brought a palestinian flag to the game last night.
one of the lads always brings the palestinian flag to games (home + away), it has nothing to do with the game later to day, someone else might be able to tell you why he has the flag in the first placeOriginally Posted by Da Real Rover

I know it's the night before a very big game for the club which I should actually be atbut...
I saw eL weekly with the Rovers v United goals the other night - nice finish by O'Dowd but the og was possibly one of the worst I've ever seen - from the camera angle the ONLY Rovers player in the box had fallen on the ground at the front post and 2 United players (Fortune & Frawley) jumped for the same ball and managed to score!
At the end you could see Rovers just taking the **** with the move shown at the end - it was embarassing to see.![]()
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"
