How many of the team that played V Israel tonight have more skill than George o Callaghan? My list is ........Duff...Robbie Keane. Can anyone come up with another name?

Dunno, but there's certainly none who more closely resembles Hugh Laurie. Behold!

Yeah but he was 1 of our most creative players until he was taken off!

I believe GOC is deserving of at least being a regular in the squads. Just imagine how much he would improve as well . Reid is OK, but his weight needs to be sorted.

I'm still just full of frustration after last night...

Was watching the game in Reardans with a few of the lads last night and we must have said it around 20 times during the game.
Georgie would probably have been one of the best players on the pitch last night and is certainly better than half the useless wasters who were playing.

    Georgie for Ireland!

I also think he's in with a shout but remember who's in charge of the Irish team.

    Good grief!

I also think that George should be in and around the squad. We were crying out of a creative midifelder last night. He should at least be on the bench if we have an injurt or suspension like last night. Also Owen Heary is miles better than Harte. Although he cant take as good a free kick he can actually defend!

PS Reid was absymal last night and should never NEVER play on the right, EVER
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.

I hope he never gets called up because the likes of Brian Kerr and Don Givens saying that he needs a move across the water to improve.

Was thinking the same thing aswell last night George would of controlled the midfield and wouldn't of been afraid to give the rest of them a piece of his mind!

Back on topic afore a mod moves this thread, I think you have all exaggerated Georgie's footballing talent.
He is a useless, lazy, windy waster.
And I hope the scouts in La Liga and the English Premiership realise that all of the posters above are spoofers.

C'mon lads, get real. George is a great eL player and looked the part against InterToto teams...but international level? I reckon he'd have been lost out there against Israel...

I'd love to see him play at that level just to see how he would perform.

if he plays well in uefa then i would think he should be looked at.With the way kerr looks at it no eircom league player will get in.i would like to see him play at international level just to see how he would perform. Its interesting how kerr picks players like Harte who plays for now first division spannish teams

Second division actually. If ireland ever get a meaningless friendly ie.China players on the fringes should get a call up(George O'Callaghan and Owen Heary)instead of choosing the best possible sqad all the time.
