    Waterford.

Couldn't make either the U.C.D or St. Pat's games. Generally, very happy to get the wins and it's even better that Myler has finally stuck away two good efforts on the trot.

What do people see the team being like against Waterford with Barry and Deano out? Will Davy Byrne be in with a shout?

    my team would be:

    digger

    murph dillo paiso prunts

    kirbs byrne martin baker

    barrett myler

i think the way to beat the blaas is to have baker and kirbs on the wing and attack them. i would put in byrne in midfield as he has generally being good whenver he has ever played.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

    agreed

I like the look of that team Marty, very attacking minded. Of course I dont care what anyone says I love to see baker play, but I prefer him on the wing, that team gives us plenty of options going forward

Well any of yez at the game? Great result for the town, about time too! Heard we lost shane barrett early in the game due to a clash with a waterford player and that Dan O' Connor played in midfield in place of Dean.
Goalscorers were Paul Keegan, John Martin (whom i heard was MoM) and Andy Myler

Heard that Barrett has an eye injury which may keep him out for a few months. Anybody else here anything?
The team definitely plays better football without Barry Ferguson. Hopefully Paisley will not be out for long as he and Dillo are a good pairing.
    Great win.

Fractured cheekbone apparently, had an operation on it I think. I'd guess he'd be 8 weeks out or so if I recall rightly players with similar injuries. Paisley should be ok for the Derry game, he'll be left out against the glass-blowers semingly.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

I agree about Barry. Ok he has the height but I really don't think he is good enough.

Paisley and Dillon won everything in the air and on the ground that Waterford threw at them, they are better than Barry, end of.

In my defence, it came from a committee member. I believe it was the eye socket/cheekbone, as Longfordian mentioned. Still a big loss. Strong case to add another striker in the upcoming window.
