Yep, Mayo is a good breakfast supplement if the brown sauce isn't available.

Living in Glasgow now, I've been introduced to the square sausage (or Lorne sausage to give it its proper title) Have to say I'm not its greatest fan. Can be gristly which is not what you need when you have a hangover.

Another breakfast argument that me and the wife have is over bacon fat. I like a bacon sandwich which good crispy fat. She prefers to trim, which I think is missing out. Its not a calorie issue, she just hates it. Any opinions
    YR is Yorkshire Relish.

Bacon is not the same without the fat imo.

No, Taco Chips from Abra in Longford was the nicest, FACT.

Ketchup is the best, although has to be Heinz imo, anything else better off without it. (Esp. Chef Red Vinegar stuff).

Mayo - just raw egg and fat.

I prefer the fat (minus the rind) but tend to have my bacon lightly cooked, not crispy.

I did a taste test once.
Made a bacon rambo with mayo and one with Chef brown sauce.
Conclusion, they were both so nice, I made two more.
I guess you could say it was a score draw.

Can't beat a bit of black/white pudding from West Cork either.

    Drisheen, anyone?

I like my bacon lightly cooked but the fat crispy - a conundrum I grant you! I tend to compromise on both - it works for me.

I like a little bit of black pudding with my breakfast, not too much mind. Was at a wedding recently where they had cold black pudding as part of the evening buffet! Savages

Like the taste test. On the Breakfast front Peadar, you are a man after my own heart It would be hard to seperate Mayo and Brown sauce on a bacon sandwich. If it was Chef sauce, I'd put brown slightly ahead. Otherwise, as you say, a score draw.

Have tried Drisheen once, not hungover at the time. Hmmm, strong taste - might be a bit much with a hangover although as a Cork man, I'll bow to your local knowledge

We had it in Budweiser Batter as a starter once.
Served hot with a fruit coulis.
    Yum, yum!

Couldn't possibly make it with a hangover though.

Ok, a hangove over is dedydration, which means your body is lacking fluids, therefor the only cure is a massive bag of salt and vinegar crisps and a litre or 2 of water, this is then followed a couple of hours later with either a large batter burger or a doner kebab from Abra.

I lkie the idea of "breakfast fish" like kippers but the reality is something different. Just the smell of them with a hangover would send me to the toilet. Has to be a few hours into the day before I can entertain the idea of fish.

Last weekend in glasgow, all we ate from Sun - Mon was one Macdonalds meal . double vodka and lemonade kept me going - it was kill or cure on the early morning flight, but it worked, this time
