Matthews relieved with form
Longford Town manager Alan Matthews has admitted that the midlanders two consecutive wins has helped ease the pressure at the club.
Longford have defeated UCD and St Patrick’s Athletic in their last two outings to move them up to sixth position in the Premier Division.
Following a poor start to the campaign, Longford seem to have found the kind of form that saw them win two cups last season.

To have the two wins is fantastic, and relieves the pressure, but don't lose the run of your selves. The victory against UCD was pure luck and St.Pats are one of the weakest sides in the league.![]()
