Anyone know why the kick off is at 19.30 on Sat. I can't remember the last time Ireland played a home Sat game at this time
The Israeli TV people requested a late kick-off for the game. If it was earlier the game would take place during the Jewish sabbath in Israel (until dusk on Saturdays). As orthodox and other more devout Jews will not watch TV during the Sabbath it would affect TV ratings.
No doubt it will have a positive effect on the atmosphere tho...
