Best of luck to him, hope he excels in efforts, it can only look good for our own game.
Cork referee Alan Kelly has been called up to the panel of officials for the UEFA U-17 Championship Finals in Denmark next month.
At 26 Alan is the youngest European referee on the FIFA list.
Alan will also take charge of the U-21 International between England and Italy in Bradford on March 26th.
Good luck to him.
Have Boot Disk, will travel

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
However you do know that he'll be untouchabvle in FAI circles now & can get away with anything as they'd never disipline a uefa/fifa ref?
For his refereeing career getting fifa recognition at only 26 can only be good for him.... I can't remember the exact age but FIFA have an upper age limit for the WC i think......
Is nice to see someone from Cork making moves in the football circles, even if he is a referee. Not a bad one either though...
Isnt he Pat Kelly's son? or am i wrong?
