    1996 US Cup

A bit of an obscure one here ... does anyone have the full squad that we took to the the 1996 US Cup? I believe the players were given squad numbers and was just wondering if anyone had details of that squad in full.

As always any help is very gratefully received!!

This is the team that played Mexico, I can't find the rest of the squad though.

Ireland: Packie Bonner (Glasgow Celtic) capt, Curtis Fleming (Middlesbrough), Gary Breen (Birmingham City), Liam Daish (Coventry), Ian Harte (Leeds Utd), Mark Kennedy (Liverpool), Dave Savage (Millwall), Alan McLoughlin (Portsmouth), Alan Moore (Middlesbrough), Keith O'Neill (Norwich), David Connolly (Watford)

    Some other players who travelled...

    Shay Given
Alan Kernaghan (captain for one or two of the games)
    Niall Quinn
    Liam O'Brien

Try rsssf.com for more info though - may have something.

Yep, here you go. Not entirely what you're looking for, but I think most players got a run at some stage, so they should all be here. There were squad numbers, but don't know where you'd find them.

I was at Giants Stadium for the games against Mexico and Bolivia. The Mexico game got a little crazy when Daish was sent off for time wasting, then Quinny who wasnt even playing went on the the field arguing and finally Mick was sent off for arguing. Possibly the worst referee I've ever seen.
Against Bolivia Keith O'Neill scored two goals. Plus Given was in goal but Packie came on in the last 10 minutes in his final appearance.
"Jacques Santini...will be greeted in every dugout of the country by "one-nil, one-nil" - Clive Tyldsley, 89th minute of France-England June 13, 2004.
"Ooooohhhh Nooooooo" Bobby Robson 91st minute.
