    VBulletin API support

    Hi,

Is there any support on foot.ie for using the VBulletin API? Not necessarily looking for something as full as this https://forum.vbulletin.com/blogs/da...n-your-website

But if i want to get all posts on a thread for example, is that supported?

I'll be up front its related to the predictions league id like to get everyone's predictions on a weekly basis.

    Thanks
    Paul

That's a local API Paul, and I'm not sure it's for this version of vB. I'm happy to help you set something up on the server so you can pull the info though, if it can be done. This site runs vb4, and it won't be updated to vb5 as I'm not keen on the software or the company. I'd like to migrate to something open source like Vanilla or Discourse, but there never seems to be much appetite for it here.

That sounds great thanks! I will see whats available so on vb4 and come back to you on this thread. Literally a simple test would be to pull the first two posts from this thread by username, once we got something up and running.

Let me see whats out there and come back it might not be possible anyway. I'll probably have to post on one of their forums.

I think upgrading to something open source that is app supported too would be a great idea. I know there was talk around one being developed for Vanilla but haven't heard much since. Not sure about Discourse.
