I presume this is the end of the matter. The clubs have talked big before and caved, this should be no different.

Seen it in Sun today that Sligo will continue to play on even if they disagree. Suppose its silent protest.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Protests are continuing it seems. Can't see the league starting on 31st July now. I can't lie, if and when these clubs go to the wall they won't be missed.

Like the condescending ramblings of rovers fans on here.

Fairly big game of chicken to be playing if so surely?

    Is it really worth it?

I take it small crowds will be allowed at games. We have to adopt some common sense, if schools are going to open end August then 700 at a soccer game outdoors should be allowed ?.

We will just have to wait for confirmation as I asked that question to our media manager and he said that its up to the government so interesting to see what happens.

The logistics of recording details for contact tracing before each game will be as much of a barrier as the physical measures (barriers, sanitising surfaces, etc.). Pain in the arse for most clubs from a technology and GDPR perspective.

I wonder will category 4 stadiums still be required in the latter qualifying rounds?

Cat 4 isn't just about seating capacity though. There's a hell of a lot of other requirements. I doubt if the likes of Oriel will be allowed in later stages regardless of crowds.

The criteria is stuff like VIP parking, VIP hospitality, different access routes for opposing fans, transport links, etc., none of which matters if there will be nobody there!

More media areas, larger medical areas, extra TV studios, larger broadcast areas, extra camera space, and yes, sufficient parking for away team and officials. Quite large stumbling blocks for three of the teams involved in Europe.

Depends on opposition also on how UEFA allow dispensation for earlier rounds. No supporters and it is a tad easier to meet criteria also. Not what anyone wants - rather play in Turners Cross with a crowd than Oriel Park empty eg.

Rovers friendly with PSG off due to uncertainty over travel restrictions.
