Cabo 4 Bray 0 is not a half time score I was expecting to see.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

2-0 to Dundalk at half time here at Tolka. Brave move by Shels by playing 2 up top but not paying off. Dobbs and Kilduff both too slow any time shels break on the counter. Jaize Kabia and Massey having a great battle down the shelbourne right. Feel Kabia would be better playing up top with his pace to get in behind. 2 sloppy goals from Dundalk finished at the back post from a free and a corner. They take a well deserved lead at the break

Big shout out to the Cork fans who stayed until the end tonight. Fair play.
False hope is worse than no hope. Ask Sligo.

Where on earth was Cherrie's sense of positioning for the Harps goal, he was outside the near post for shot that was always going to be sent at the far post, I dont agree he was out to collect the ball as possession had turned over well. He may not have gotten to it but he didnt give himself a chance. Ye have to feel for Harps with less than 10sec from a rare win against Derry.

That was absolutely horrific. Worst I've ever seen from us. Dalling should've put is one up early on but that's as good as it got. Could've been double figures. Very long journey home now.

Dalling was a disgrace , horrific lunge at Lopez that deserves more than a red card - thought it was shameful how then he and many of the other Cork players remonstrated with the ref - as for Fenn then shaking Dalling’s hand when he finally left the pitch , uncalled for and classless.

Luckily Lopez not injured and the Burke inspired show that followed was the right response to the behaviour of Dalling other players and Fenn

Not much of a consolation I suppose, but nice touch all the same

There can't have been too many that scored 5 in a League match before?

Dundalk finish 2-1 winners. Gary Deegan dragged shels back into the game with a cracker from outside d area. With the wind behind them, shels had dundalk pinned back, they ended the game with 6 defenders on the pitch which was testament to the pressure dundalk were under. Gary Deegan who was dictating the shels team was unfortunate to be subbed off towards the end. One too many fouls and already booked, Morris made a clever decision to take him off b4 he was sent off. An entertaining game overall

The Lad in net for Cork pulled off 3 brilliant saves aswell that were definitely goal bound, horrible night in Tallafornia, I normally don't give a shít about away fans but jesus I felt sorry for the Cork lads tonight, not because of the result, but the sideways rain was blowing straight at them all evening, they must have been totally destroyed on the way home, fair play to them though, couple of hundred of them on a poxy night

    Cork...jesus.

Good from us tonight, we were unlucky vs Waterford so it was good to see us make good on that in terms of a result. Not a fan of playing Desmond in midfield but Younger getting sent off (happy to be told otherwise but his second yellow looked harsh given the attack was going straight back to us) might put that right for Monday. Rory Feely has been a bit of a revelation on his return if these two games are anything to go by.

I don't expect us to score a single goal this season so hoping this game follows the teme of a half dozen I've seen at Tallaght over the years. Boring with almost not shots on target.
    Half dozen you say?

Thought Cork actually didn't look too bad until the second goal, after that with the red card things fell apart though.
Looked a disgusting challenge from where I was for the red, lunged in two feet off the ground on a player on the ground, nasty.

Saw there was a fight in the Cork end after the Red card and one person was removed from the ground, anyone know what happened?

Burkey looking back to the form that got him a move to Preston in the first place.

Deegan was skating on thin ice alright and skating into some bad tackles and was pulled by IM just at the right time imo(could see the ref was looking through his naughty list about him)he was charging towards a red.

decent game given the conditions but dundalk showed they cant play hoof ball and as weather conditions improve so will we.Missing McEleney also big factor.Flores was terrible 2nd half.

We were very, very poor and completely devoid of creativity, ideas, cutting edge etc. throughout the game.

Very poor performance, poor result, nice to sicken them.

    2019 kit. Not a 2019 performance.
