City hot one min rovers game 3-2 win that was class. As the song went 2-0 down 3-2 up and we F--k the rovers up.

City Cold but for ever a fan
watching them in the munster cup on a freezzzzzing cold morning some years back and there must have been about 10 of us at it I think it was season 2001 2002 v rocmount.
Let's get it going for this year the away support.

    Since I started:
    Good
City 4, Shels 4: My first match, go tme hooked straight away.
Cup Win and the open top bus the next day.
    3:1 V Malmo, Profesional club? You're having a laugh!
Beating Shels in Tolka to stop them winning the league on the last day in 2001
Seeing JOF & Georgie beat Shels at the X on their debuts and having the added bonus of Molloy being sent off
Seeing City beat Bray, the only away win of the season and I was there
Improvement in the 'match day experience' since Gunther took charge

    bad
Ollie Judas Cahal going to Shels - B@stard
Dobbs, Kabia, CPOB, Carey's unfulfilled promise
Dolan sticking for too long with Kevin Murray + anyone he brought in on a short term contract
The Leicester & Colin Murphy affair
    The drugery of Mountfields time
Seeing City beat Bray, the only away win of the season
UCD games bar one or two
St pats + Osam + Dolan
Succesfully predicting that Derry would score against us in the last minute

    ugly
    Moses & Terry Dunne
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.

I'm going to add that to my list of lows - the fact that I didn't see that greedy **** crying. Would you be unhappy to see Reynolds cry? Theres not a huge difference between the 2 IMO.

I could never see the sense in vilifying Ollie Cahill for accepting a higher paying job with a different club. It is childish, IMHO.
Now, the rodent from Waterford is in a different category altogether. That guy begs to be hated by CCFC supporters.
But even at that, I would be horrified to see Reynolds crying if it was because he got so much abuse from our supporters.

I don't know, Ollie was all over the papers in his last season critiscising the fans and the shed, while he was the one player who at the time was adored by us.
He dragged his heels in contract negotiations which in hindsighrt was telling clubs to come and get him, he took the cash and has to put up with the consequences.
Anyway, he might have she a few tears early on, but he's well able to celebrate in front of the shed wearing his Shels jersey at the same time.

I don't dislike the man, but it's part and parcel of the game.

    There Is A God

This has to be my high of the season so far:
    1. Linfield winning the Setanta Cup. That amount of cash going to an IL club will do far more good than it would do for a wealthy Dub club, IMO.
    2. Linfield beating Shelbourne in the final.
    3. Linfield beating Shels at Tolka!!!
The season is looking decidedly up. A group of part - timers beats Ireland's "best". Shels are there for the taking lads, and they won't be so flush now. You can bet your granny's false teeth that they had that money factored into their financial plan for the year.

Shels dont get an extra €80,000 so I'm happy but to be this delighted for Linfield is just wrong. I didn't know who to cheer for in the end as I dont know if an extra €80,000 would make as big an impact at Shels as we're making it out to. An IL club beat us and made our league look inferior, a dubious IL club at that. Should we all be doing cartwheels because of this?

Highs: first (real, cobh doesnt count) away game, up in dalymount. can barely remember the game or result, but sleeping on the window sill of the train station in mid december will haunt me for the resyt of my days!
Being absolutely bemused by skippys celebration v gotenborg.
"same time, same place, next year" alas, it wasnt to be, decky.
that moment when bray "were" 1-0 up.
city v waterford 2 years ago. we lost, but watching from the saint anns end of all places, it was clear just how superior john o flynn was to everyone else on the pitch.
singing for 90 minutes away to nijmegen and falling asleep after 70 or so waking hours
listening intently to the radio for the other away games last year. FENN!
lennox & dolan in better times, a vehicle of ambition driving us to glory.
everytime the ground is full and over flowing onto the hill.
my friend from school roy making his debut

    lows:
    missing the cup final replay.
    coming so close against nantes
who the fvck are metalurgs liejpas
    ollie joins shels
    bray werent 1-0 up
    liam murphy's reign.
people taking davy barry for granted until he left.
city v celtic, more celtic shirts.
playing well away to CSKA Kiev but running out of steam.
watching john o flynn deteriorate to being below denis behan in the pecking order.
    dolan sacked for non-football reasons.
the close minded pig ignorance of some of the fan base recently.
    missing the cup final replay

If its the one I'm thinking of it was against Cobh Wanderers..kick off was 11am on a Sunday morning!! i was in the ground at 10 and was the only supporter there until about quarter to eleven..remember at one stage during the warm up it started to hail stone and devine came up to the shed to me and started shoutin abuse at the lads..talk about drawing attention to the loner on her own!!!

    Highs:

    - Supporting my local team and feeling proud everytime i see eleven players wearing the city colours run on to a pitch.

    - Being away from home and singing louder than the home supporters.

    - Singing for 90 minutes in Nijmegen in an unreal stadium and being applauded by the home supporters as they left the ground.

    - Players knowing your name and taking the time to speak to you

    - The amount of young kids becoming interested in the club.

    - The friends I've made through supporting City.

    - Seeing the City youths team beat Corbally United in the Munster Youths Cup Final replay in Jackman Park two years ago. City were reduced to nine men and fought hard to win on penalties.

    - Winning the U21 league two years in a row. Losing in the final to UCD late last year but capturing the Enda McGuill Cup as a consolation.

    - Knowing that we have a structure in the club to be HUGE in years to come. We have fantastic U17, youths and U21 teams.

    - Seeing how much the club has improved over the years.

    - Kevin Doyle playing in our colours!

    - City players playing for Ireland and its only a matter of time before a senior cap is gained..

    Lows

    - Supporters fighting amongst one another when we all want the same thing.. The club to succeed.

    - Not going to my first game til November '98 (v Finn Harps 2-0) and therefore never seeing the City first team win anything major.

    - Having to explain to people over and over again why I support my local eircom league team rather than a premiership team.

    - falling at the last hurdle.................
