The Blues are 3/1 to win.
Shels don't have much a bench these days anyway & i think Linfield will have more fight in them even iof have no idea how to defend.
Typically there's threads whinging about the choice of location and officals yet none actually about the football, unless I've missed it. Shels are supposedly completley full strenght bar the suspended Heary, so god only knows what team we'll have out. Not sure but I think Linfield are more or less full strenght too.
So who's going, who's watching on the TV and who do you think will win?
Incidentally if you can't get to the match/TV www.newstalk106.ie are doing live commentary I think and so are RTE 1 MW and LW.

Shels to win 3-1.
Wont get to see it as will be out in Flancare but if Shels attackers show up at all they will destroy Linfield.
Yeah I'm heading - looking forward to it.
Should be much better than the fare just offered between the 2nd and 3rd in England!
I think Shels will win maybe 3-2 if Heary is out of the defence.
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"
I think it might be closer than the betting suggest, linfield hamered glentoran in the first half -
Listening to match on newstalk - sounds like Linfield are having the best of the opening 20 mins
Dont want to say i told you so, but...
Shels 2 down now,not looking good for em. All Linfield at the mo....
Very open game. Chances at both ends bit Linfield are more clinical in front of goal. They should have had a penalty as well. Great game to watch.
Damn why did i have to be working tonight, coverage from newstalk ok thoughOriginally Posted by sullanefc

What's the crowd like?

2-0 Linfield halftime.
Looks like 4500 crowd. Main stand 80% full, new stand full, ballybough empty & 1000-1500 max Linfield fans under riverside.
Jason Byrne missed chance when rounded keeper but instead of shooting tried to round him again. Brennan at right back for shels is out of his depth. Ferguson scored goos volley from cross & Thompson added second. Baker off injured. Shels Shattered.
Linfield fans outsinging shels as expected.
Good game if a little frantic.
Remember the glentoran v linfield games - they let the glens back into the game so the second half should be interesting
No talk on tv3 or rte about this game.I wonder is it because its Setanta station/
Come on the Blues !! .... Two little beauties !!![]()
Shels bein full time ... their fitness might tell in the second, and they always play down to the wire anyway.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Linfield still well on top. Almost finished off with 3rd...
RTE will only mention sport they cover. TV3 not so petty & more realistic but their sports department doesn't seem to work on weekends.
IMO Setanta Cup needs Il winnerWill mean gets more attention in 2006. Maybe some Il players will be signed by eL clubs?
Its not just the tv
The star had four pages plus pullout on the fa cup - half a page for the setanta cup
the sun had 6 pages on fa cup - half a page on setanta cup
Bought the city final of the Herald and shock horror there was more el/Setanta coverage than epl. One page on last nights results and back page on Setanta cup. Think there is more that 4500 at the game I'm gonna say over 5000. Interesting to see if there will be a official attendance given? Stuck a tenner on Linfield to score the next goal at 5/2 not bad
i feel like the pits.. i cant belive a outfit like linfield are beating us FFS

I'd Love to be watching the game to catch a glimpse of Ollie Byrnes' face - seeing all that money slipping away, he must be going mad
