    Preview: Cork City vs Portadown

Monday night will decide the first finalist in the Setanta Cup, who will be the eircom League's representative. Cork City must overcome Shelbourne's lead at the top of group as they host Portadown at Turner's Cross.

    Cork City vs Portadown
    (Turner's Cross - 7:45 pm - Setanta Cup - Group 2 - Live on Setanta Sports)
    Referee: John Feighery

The task ahead for Cork City is fairly clear, a win by two goals must be achieved. However, a one goal victory in a sufficiently high-scoring enough game (at least 4-3) would also see them through to Saturday's final. Anything else and Shelbourne would win the group.

Never been so interested in a Cork game!! I can't watch the first 50 or so minutes cos I am playing soccer myself but I will be there at the end. Its good that one of us will reach the finals, but personally I'd rather Shels

    Good luck!!

Just a reminder to City fans .... might be an idea to send a text to all the radio stations to raise the awareness of the game !! Red FM, 96 FM etc.

    Cork 0-1 Ports

8 Minutes left. Portadown had 10 men since 35th minute, CCFC failed to capitalise so far.

    Ufl.

Portadown have been playing filthy though. The red card was a yellow (but a definate yellow). But one of them was going to get sent off at some point, Georgie must be finding it hard to stand up at this stage!

Did I hear Cork fans singing "What a load of rubbish!" at the end?

Yeah. I must say, loved the fact that Rico blamed the referee? He gave Cork a 60 minute extra man advantage!? Unlucky lads, but on the basis of that performance, ye didn't deserve it, and I know alot of fans were saying that if you couldn't comfortably beat Ports ye wouldnt.
