He may very well be civil minded but actions speak louder than thoughts. I mean whay has Dublin City done for the local community, apart from compete with them for local sponsorship.

Drummerboy, I was taking the **** a bit, I am am not that young myself. I am aware of the links and history of the club, but at the same time Dublin City is still a good idea with massive potential. I accept that people have gripes with how the club came into existence but that was then and this is now. A lot is talked about Rocky but not that many people know anything about him and the constant slating of him and our club is unnecessary and serves no purpose other than venting some anger.

Dublin City has a presence in the community, They have recently setup an affilation with a local schoolboy club, they have a womens team and under 21's. Don't forget this is a new entity and remember that Rome was not built in a day.

If you could focus your energy on more positive things instead of bringing up negitves all the time it would be a far greater way to spend your time. I am interested in promoting the EL to everyone I meat and it makes it harder if people undo the good work by chipping away at the foundations that are being put in place. Why not drop your hostility and turn it to good use by coming and surpporting the DUBS. Your support would be very welcome!

I'm not hostile towards the club, I used to go and see them play when they played on the northside. Think Rocky has a talent which is being wasted on a white elephant of a football club. An affiliation to a schoolboy club. What does that entail, buying them a set of gear. If thats all it is, its lip service. All EL clubs should have a school boy section with qualified coaches, an academy and an u-21 team, thats the way forward, thats how a clubs become a viable part of the community. BTW what community are DC supposed to be based in.
