    Cats hold Vikings - again

    Cats hold Vikings - again

For the second time this season, Kilkenny City held Dublin City to a draw in the first division of the eircom League.

After a 2-2 draw earlier in the campaign, today's game finished 0-0 at Richmond Park. This, despite dominance from the Vikings who did have the ball in the net early in the game although that was ruled out for offside.
Marc Webb came close for the visitors after the break but as Dublin pushed for the winner they failed to make the breakthrough and some of that frustration came out when Ray Scully was sent off in the closing ten minutes after clashing with Webb.

Confident Keely still wary of Kilkenny

DERMOT KEELY is honest enough to admit that the Vikings' opening game of the season away to Kilkenny City should have ended in defeat.

"We got lucky," said the Dublin City boss. "We were two down and their goalkeeper threw a wobbler for our first and then Michael Holt came up with something special to get us a point, so I was more than happy in the end to come away with something from that game in Buckley Park."
