Savage agrees Rushden deal
May 19, 2005
Well-travelled midfielder Dave Savage, the holder of five senior Irish caps from earlier in his career, has agreed a one-year contract with Rushden & Diamonds after agreeing to part company with Coca-Cola League Two rivals Bristol Rovers at the end of the Football League season.
Savage enjoyed his best days at Millwall in the mid-90s, winning all his senior caps in a month-long spell in May and June 1996.
Since then he has played the role of lower division journeyman, spending time at Northampton Town, Oxford United and Bristol Rovers before his latest move to Nene Park.
The 32-year-old’s contract in Bristol expires on June 30th, and he has agreed terms with Rushden on a one-year-deal for next season.
