Athlone boss wary of Dundalk threat
Athlone Town manager Stephen Kelly has hailed Thursday night’s First Division opponents Dundalk as one of the top sides in the eircom League’s second tier – but he hopes his side can continue their solid defensive form for the trip to Monaghan’s Century Homes Park ground.
Athlone have conceded just seven goals in their nine First Division games to date this season, and leaders Dublin City are the only team to score against the midlanders in their past three outings.
