He was good that year. I understand he had a couple of good spells in England as well.

He should be able to fill the boots vacated by Gary Shaw.

I cant believe it was 2014, i remember thinking he was very lively and a real handfull.
My memory is he was rumoured to be coming to us before he went off to England.

Hoban scored 12 goals in 92 matchs in England
Gaffney scored 38 goals in 179 matches in England. (better goals per game than either but not exactly fantastic)
Graham Burke scored 8 goals in 81 matches in England

When you consider Burke has scored 29 goals in 55 games for Rovers and how many Hoban has scored for Dundalk it would make you wonder as to the comparitive standard of our League to the UK.

I saw a written piece today which was easy to forget SB played with RG in the 14 season with Limerick.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Bradley retired in 2012, they did play together in that season though and won the first division

Nope, he retired 5 years earlier and never played for Limerick as far as I know

Yup I was being obtuse, for some reason I was thinking of the Shamrock Rovers side that won the 1st Division that Perth played with but of course Perth had retired before Bradley was at Rovers.

To be fair, he can't be put in that bracket quite yet. Gary was well able to score winners against Dundalk.

The legend that is Gary Shaw!

During his time as a Hoop he actually scored twice against Dundalk, including a famous winner in Oriel Park in 2017 (hardly a coincidence that he won the Rovers POTY that season)

Rovers actually won 3 out the 13 fixtures between the sides during the Shaw era

Why did you quote the Gary Shaw post?

Are you seriously suggesting that this Oduwa character is that good ?

Looks like someone who was good and lost his way.
Could turn out to be Lost for good or a huge addition.

The lad looks to have bags of potential. I doubt too many have turned Gannon inside out in training or a match as in the clip above. Get him settled, happy and hungry and ye just never know! I like that Perth sees as both a wide player and can play up top too.

Kinda puzzling that Adam Rooney would choose English National League side Solihull Moors over the glitz and glamour of Shamrock Rovers
