I think it would be a great move. All the signs say that Man City are a team on the up. Morrison is not appreciated at Birmingham, and even when he is playing very well for Ireland cant get a look in. City are short of attacking options with Fowler, Macken, Bradley Wright Philips the only real options. Sibierski can play up and Elliot will be back as far as I know. Only stumbling block for Morrison could be the transfer fee - City have very little to spend in the close season and as far as I remember Birmingham didnt get him cheap...

Elliott is definitely owned by Sunderland. £125k after a tribunal I think.

Sunderland do own Elliot... They had to cough up some more money after they got promoted aswell.

did they not get a few bob for Anelka? must have some sort of budget. I wouldn't pay more than a few million for Morrison if I was a club manager.
I thought you were off the drink Ronnie?

According to Sky Sports the transfer pot is empty, although I would imagine some will be made available for Pearce in the summer. I can't see him buying another striker to be honest, another full back and possibly a midfielder.

The Anelka money went off clearing some debts..... I'd say that Director who quit just over a year ago due to the funds being made available to Keegan is loving it now.

They need another forward though, Macken won't see another season in the premiership. It's not a move that would've occured to me before I read the speculation but a move for Morrison would be a good one for both parties. He does allot of work and I think he'd make a decent foil for Fowler. His goal record in the premiership isn't great this season but off the top of my head and for what little it's worth he has been unlucky and hit the bar a few times. It's that bit of luck that can do wonders for a players profile.

There's only a year left on his contract so I'd say he'd be available for well under 2million.
