    Get Cds on-line.

I nearly always buy my music from the net these days because its so much cheaper than the likes of HMV or Golden Dicks (sic).

Apart from Cdwow and Play everybody should check out www.deepdiscountcd.com, they are based in the States and do charge for delivery to Ireland but with the exchange rate with the dollar been pretty good at the moment it still works out quite reasonable.Expect to wait 10 days for delivery but if you order 4 cds from their very large catalogue you'll make a good saving.
Bye bye Stan. Go off back to collecting cones you useless git.

I use Amazon. I know sterling isn't great at the moment, but you can get some great bargains if you buy used cds.

I've bought several, most of them 'as new' for a fraction of the price. Some of the sellers (secondsounds, itslikenew etc.) are fairly reputable
Even with shipping and exchange rate, you could still pick up a cd for less than a tenner

if i was going to buy music online, i'd do it from itunes or mycokemusic. €0.99 per track, so you only get the good ones, and no waiting about for cds to arrive.

Yeh, I do as well. Some of the used are actually new, I get a lot from Caimin.com in Florida via Amazon. Always excellent.

I don't like Itunes on PC.

Pay per downloaded file size and listen to tunes free once a member.

I paid directly (well through russian paypal) with credit card to mp3search.ru & no problems. Used AIBs transact-online for allofmp3 (better interface & more titles quicker) & no problems either.

They are definitely legal in russia but may or may not be in other countries.

I hate the way Itunes & other online stores are regionalised. Its the same scam as regionalised DVDs which is basically price fixing for different parts of the world. Why should we have to pay European prices & not american prices?

The Russian mp3 sites exploit a loophole in Russian broadcasting laws but its pretty much illegal everywhere else.

    Now now Pete.

Personally I buy a lot of music and I attend a lot of concerts. With the added fees from Ticketmaster and some cd shops, I sometimes get tempted to go and bypass the system, but what I do instead is I try buy tickets and cds off band's sites, or buy cd's at gigs in the foolish hope my money is going back into the pockets of the artist over the company. After that, I will borrow cds from my friends and listen to them or get the odd sample tune from a bands website, listen to them and then if I like them I buy the cd cos I think its only fair...

MyCokeMusic or whatever etc may be somewhat cheaper but I do like getting the cd or vinyl or whatever if I like the band. For the extra couple of euro I am willing to sacrifice!!

Yea I heard about them a couple of weeks ago. I bought a CD off them last week and got it already. They seem really reliable and are definitely the cheapest for CD's. They even take Laser cards too which comes in handy.
