Kabia, Dobbs or Glynn? Out of interest Id like to see Tynan on the left to see how he has come on.

    Kabia, Dobbs

LOL, I'm sure it would be great to drag the "ever popular" Dobbsy out of non-league footie.

Johnny 'he of the mud goal' Glynn might b a bit old for a comeback although considering he a fitness instructor of some type maybe he'd be fit enough.

I didn't add Tynan as he never really played for the club much...

    How about

Dave Barry and Miya Dennehy, surely they should get a place ....... actually lads i dont have a clue who to pick. Ideally you would want a huge crowd and you would get a better crowd if you had some of the national team/capped players/retired and well known. As for Roy and Denis playing, they would have forgotten where Cork is by now. Not to mind coming home for a game of footie.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

    3. Dm just because he was foolish enough to pay attention to the ccfcsc and attend a few of their meetings is supposed to be some kind of hero?

4.JC is a absolute gentleman and anyone who met him would tell you the same.
    1. As I already said Dalo, people don't make baseless accusations- no smoke without fire, as joe said. People have to be careful what they say, because it could cause trouble, but suffice it to say that I would never make an allegation such as that without having heard it from sources I trust & which have been right in the past.

    2. a=no, Gunther's not doing much better. Mountfield didn't leave, he was sacked. He wanted to fight on- the guy was not a quitter. b=Nothing to do with it, sure it wasn't easy, but he was in the process of sorting that out I believe. C= He treated amateurs and backstabbers with too much respect and as thoug they were pros, and got fcuked over for it.

    3. Foolish? You call yourself a City fan? The Supporters club is there for City fans. We're the ones who devote our time to the club for nothing- the number of CCSC members who are involved in CityLotto and on matchday would probably surprise many people. The fact that Murphy hasnt got the b@lls to go to a meeting says a lot about him. BTW. do you include Brian Lennox, Jim Murphy, Greg Cantillon etc., in that category of "stupid" because they went to meetings too?!

    4. In my 6 years supporting City, I have never met anyone more courteous, pleasant and genuinely nice than Derek Mountfield. I'm sure Johnny Cis a lovely chap too, as long as you're not trying to convince him that he should retire because he's too old

one thing eanna under Dm we would have got relegated. when gunther took over we had just been hammered by pat's 4-0. surely you didn't take that lying down.

as for the ccfcsc i never said the people invloved were stupid. i instead said any manager who would speand all his time listening to the vagaries of supporters (me and you included) would be foolish. the ccfc sc do great work fair play.

i too met dm and as a everton fan i can concur with you there. nice guys don't always win though.

as for gunther he probably is a spacer alright but I am reserving judgement until the end of the season.

of course I didn't but neither did I take the thrashing at home by bohs this season lying down-it should have been more than 3-0! Or the home loss to dundalk, or any of the other home defeats this season! I don't believe DMwould have got us relegated. If I rmember right, we were 6 points off the playoff place and 7 off 2nd. People were saying the glass was half empty. The team was too good to go down, and the players who were not putting in the work would have kept us up, because it would have damaged their careers too much to go down.

Whether we would have been religated or not is speculation as we will never know what would have happened.

Losing those games against Bohs, Dundalk et all was bad, fair enough, but it happens. I dont like it, infact it f€cks up my train ride back to Dublin each night, but as I said it can happen. If the supposidly better team won in football matches each week then I would not follow soccer. Part of the 'fun' of soccer for me is wondering who will win, what the score will be, who will play well etc. No teams in the eL are that consistant (except Bohs & Shels last year), so quite often games can go either way. To give a CCFC example, we trash Rovers in Dublin one week, then loose in Cork the next. Shels beet Cork in Cork one week & the next they loose at home to Derry. Id hate to see a SPL league here where we can predict the table for the next 5 years (or at least the top 2!)

not my intention, I was just trying to point out that people were being very pessimistic about the situation under DM, bad and all as it was.
