3-5-2 was what we went with for about 10 minutes before half time when Swiss had us under pressure at the Aviva. I could easily see a 4-4-2 also.

Hourihane and Robinson sacrificed before Hendrick and McClean? Not for me. Although the set up may have been a factor in that.

Anyways, listening to the analysis there at the start, and they were suggesting the best way we were going to score would be set pieces sent into Collins, because we've scored almost all our goals from set pieces and the Swiss have been poor at defending crosses. So straight away, the Connolly decision is being called into question, because I don't think that's the kind of player he is.

McClean should already have been booked. He's become such a liability, a far cry from the days when he was being touted as a potential wunderkind.

Browne caught moaning when he should be playing the whistle. Need to be smarter than that if the plan is to park the bus.

Said touting was cringe-worthy stuff, he was never a potential wunderkid. Any one with sense could see that.

Nice through ball for Connolly. Showed his inexperience there. Possession in the box, should have take a few touches and tried to draw a foul or link with someone arriving late. It looks like they’ll give up chances if we don’t keep conceding too.

We have arguably two of the best wing backs in the premier league this season. One of the is playing left of the 3 and the other is on the bench. Also Williams on the bench who regularly plays left of a back 3. Why play the shape and not play the players familiar with it?

We were 1 nil down in a cup game a couple of weeks ago with 20 to go. The gaffa thought “I know let’s go for a 352”. We conceded 2 goals straight away because we didn’t have a clue who was doing what. This is repeating itself before my very eyes!!!!
