    City 6-o Temple

    McNulty
    Hoggy, Lordan, Derek, Carey
Ollie (CtOB), Greg, Bennet (Patsy), Mulconroy
    Hartigan,Mull(CPOB)

    Hartigan 2
    CPOB 2
    Derek
    Patsy!

Easy really against a fairly poor Temple team. Could have been more if not for their keeper. Mulconroy had a v good 2nd half. Greg could challenege for a centre mid spot IMO. Mulligan looks so low on confidence its unreal, he was subbed at half time, as was Cahill who was fairly ineffective. Hartigan got a good solo goal and a tap in at thre post, and laid on Patsys goal. No doubt he will be in the first XI next week and forever after that.

    City for the CUP!!!!

I was at the game. It was good to see city get so many goals, but im not getting carried away cos after all it was only an MSC game against a bad amateur team.

Is it true that Greg O'Halloran was playing ?
(I was told by someone who was there that he was)
Temple are going through a bad patch, and are not the team they were a few years ago. It shows how afraid LM was of losing this game, that he put out almost the full league team.

Whats the point in playing Patsy anyway? Surely they could have given one of the u-21 or youth midfielders a run off the bench?

Is Patsy just playing afew minutes so he can get a medal or something?

    btw whens the semi final?

James, you really do know nothing, don't you

that was a quarter-final and city will now play cobh wanderers in the semis. the winners will play rockmount, who beat youghal united on penalties yesterday after a 0-0 draw, in the final.

the city v wanderers tie is scheduled to take place at Turner's Cross, on Sunday, March 10th at 11.00 am

Dave Barry ALWAYS put out a full team for the MSL, as did DM (AFIK). I dont know why they do it, but they do.
As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.

Well if Cobh Wanderers field this team even the supporters club would have a chance of progressing

But on a more serious note check out the team sponsor they had last season here

If i remember correctly he used to play there until he got into the first team. I'm sure he said he preferred playing there too. Might be what we need alongside o'grady?

How long was Patsy on for?

I presumed that he had retired or was he just injured or does he just save all his energy for the MSC?

    How did Mulky play?

He played for about 20 minutes. He took a good goal. Id hardly describe it as 'vintage' though. Lordan did well at centre half, and Mulconroy did play.
