I think he played for shel,s and won a league and fai cup medal with them. And he played with the sligo leitrim u 21 side that got to the final.He would still be a usefull player for us he,s only about 33/34

I dont think he,s with carbury.Because he had to sign with a junior club in order for him to play in the u21 and he was signed with Abbey utd.And could not play for abbey because they have 3 senior players allready.A mc loughlin Lee Marshall and old captain Dykes.

Are you sure there's a three senior player rule in junior soccer? It a good few years since Marshall was in the Showgrounds isn't it? Surely Gary Rooney played senior soccer at one stage too.
Ya Rooney was in the Harps squad for a while, prob most skilful player to come out of Sligo in recent years but sadfully we will never see him in the bit o red due to reasons outside football
The rule! I think is for the juinor cup and connacht cup.Most of the Abbey lad,s had spells with LOI club,s.Lee played 7 or 8 games with the u 21 last season so that classed him as a senior player. And andrew was with harps the year before.And your right gary rooney had a spell with harps when dykes was manager he was played right back of all places. just a couple of pre season game,s.He was ment to sign for us one year.The same year he done something really stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in the showgrounds
