I remember UCD did it one year at the end of the season. 2002/03, when google tells me we scored 23 and conceded 25 in a 27-game season.

Even that was just below one goal a game though - nearly three times the rate Preston are seeing goals. It's incredible. And they've eight goals in two Cup games.

Yeah I was curious enough to go snooping on their twitter feed after today's game and the sense of outraged boredom among a lot of their friends is almost comical.
The ball is round and has many surprises.

"In 22 Championship games – across spells with Preston and Millwall – Parrott has yet to find the net even once and his run without a goal has hit 1460 minutes". (Deeepdale Digest, 2 Oct). Perhaps he will be a late bloomer https://www.sportskeeda.com/football...otball-history.

Yeah. He wasn't ready during his first loan, and his team are almost comically defensive at the moment - lowest goals scored or conceded in the division. It makes it hard to judge him on goals. It's probably not the best place to develop as a forward, but his hold-up and linking play and his pressing game will be developing at a rate of knots.

We could end up with another Centre-Half (wink )

Don't even joke about that. I'm worried enough about losing Knight to full back.

They won't be friends for long if this continues.

😅 I can't even begin to unravel the line of thought that caused that brainfart.

Sean Maguire preferred up front for Preston tonight, at home against Molumby's West Brom.

A 1-0 win though, which fits the pattern still.

    Played 12, scored 4, conceded 4...

Parrott comes on at half-time, scores, via a deflection -- and injures his hamstring and leaves the field (Talksport).

Troy has scored! Preston have three. This is not a drill.

Got injured during the celebration and had to come off unfortunately.

Saw the goal on the EFL highlights show, he was very clearly trying to cross it and it got a massive deflection just after he kicked it that took it 45 degrees in a different direction into the goal. I don't know if they have a Dubious Goals Panel in the Championship, but if they do it's hard to see him keeping the credit for that one.

OPTA code those games. If the original shot was on target (even headed for the opposite corner) the goal should stay with Parrott. I haven't seen the goal I'll stress but I worked for OPTA for a time and that is their definition for a deflected goal versus an OG.
